Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. university or college and meet the financial need for consideration for a fellowship. The academic year is July through June, and applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in their first degree (or 2.8 with a bachelor's or associate's degree). Most scholarships are renewable for three years after the first year upon renewal by demonstrating a GPA of 3.0 on average per term while continuing their studies at an accredited college or university throughout their first four years of full-time enrollment, as specified by each individual granting organization
